Premarital Assessment Platform

Mīthāq

A structured Islamic premarital assessment rooted in the mīthāq ghalīẓ — the solemn covenant. Not a compatibility score, but a map for honest conversation before marriage.

How It Works
1
Connect with a counselor. Imam Farhan guides couples through a structured premarital process grounded in Islamic principles.
2
Each partner completes a private assessment. 30 questions across 8 domains covering values, finances, family, faith, and more. Your answers are confidential.
3
Your counselor prepares a guided session. A Compatibility Map highlights areas of alignment and topics that deserve honest conversation — before the nikah, not after.

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2026

Mīthāq ("we", "our", "the platform") provides a premarital counseling assessment tool used by Muslim religious counselors and the couples they serve. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What We Collect

From counselors and administrators: Name, email address, password (encrypted), and any profile information you provide (nickname, title, greeting).

From couples completing assessments: Your name, demographic information you choose to provide (age, gender, ethnicity, country, education, occupation, languages), your responses to 30 assessment questions, your conviction levels (Flexible, Strong Preference, Non-Negotiable), and any optional disclosures you share privately with your counselor.

Automatically collected: Standard web server logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) for security and troubleshooting purposes.

How We Use Your Information

Assessment responses and demographics are shared only with the counselor assigned to your session. Your partner does not see your individual responses. Counselors use this information to prepare for and guide your counseling session.

Platform administrators have access to all session data for troubleshooting, platform maintenance, and audit purposes. Administrators are bound by the same confidentiality principles as counselors.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted database. All connections to the platform use HTTPS encryption. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Access to your session data is restricted by role-based access control policies.

Private disclosures you share are only accessible to your assigned counselor and authorized platform administrators. Other counselors cannot see your information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication
  • Netlify — website hosting
  • Resend — email delivery

These services process your information only as necessary to operate the platform, and are bound by their own privacy commitments.

Data Retention

We retain your assessment data for as long as your counselor needs it to provide services to you. If you want your data deleted, contact your counselor or the platform administrator at adalah.council@gmail.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request corrections, and to request deletion. Contact adalah.council@gmail.com to exercise these rights.

Children

This platform is intended for adults preparing for marriage. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to active users via email.

What Mīthāq Is

Mīthāq is a tool that helps Muslim religious counselors prepare and conduct premarital counseling sessions. It generates structured conversation guides based on assessment responses from couples. Mīthāq is not a substitute for professional mental health care, legal advice, or financial advice.

Scope of Service

The platform provides a structured assessment and Compatibility Map based on your responses. Any guidance, advice, or counseling provided through the platform comes from the human counselor you are working with, not from the platform itself. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Mīthāq, its creators, counselors using the platform, and associated organizations are not liable for decisions you make based on assessment results, for the outcome of your marriage, or for any damages arising from use of the platform. The platform is a guide for conversation, not a substitute for due diligence, legal counsel, or your own judgment.

We strive to keep the platform available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or feature changes that temporarily affect availability.

Termination

Administrators may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harass other users, or attempt to compromise platform security.

Mīthāq Assessment

Welcome.
Let us begin with honesty.

This assessment is not a test. It is a structured conversation guide designed to surface expectations, not judge them. Answer each question privately and honestly — your responses are seen only by your counselor and not shared directly with your partner.

This assessment takes approximately 20–30 minutes. Your progress is saved automatically — you can leave and return anytime.
🔒 Your individual responses are confidential and visible only to your counselor. Your partner will never see your specific answers.
📋 After both partners complete the assessment, your counselor will prepare a discussion guide and contact you to schedule your premarital session.

Assessment Complete

Thank you for your honesty and thoughtfulness. Your responses have been submitted securely to your counselor.

What happens next
1. Your counselor will be notified once both you and your partner have completed the assessment.
2. They will prepare a Compatibility Map and a discussion agenda tailored to your responses.
3. Your counselor will reach out to schedule your premarital counseling session.
Please do not discuss your specific answers with your partner before your counseling appointment. The session is most productive when both partners hear each other's positions for the first time with a counselor present.
